Alfred Hitchcock: One of the True Greats in Hollywood History

London-born director, Alfred Hitchcock, was indeed one of the true greats in Hollywood history, and was himself every bit as mysterious as his films.
The reason why Alfred Hitchcock continues to be thought of as one of the greatest Hollywood directors of all time is precisely because he often ignored the typical conventions of Hollywood filmmaking. And because his movies always had such a unique edge, they have withstood the test of time very gracefully.

While he is best known for his classics "Psycho," "Vertigo," Rear Window" and "The Birds," Hitchcock actually directed dozens of movies throughout his long career. Information on these films, and much other interesting information on Hitchcock, can be found on the Internet. In addition to web sites featuring his most popular films, there are also sites which feature a great deal of information on his television series, "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", which ran for seven seasons from the mid-‘50s through the early ‘60s. Also available online are resources which actually discuss the biography of the man himself, the so-called Master of Suspense.

Given the amount of Hitchcock material on-line and the meticulous presentation of much of it, it is clear that Hitchcock has indeed retained much of fame through to today. Naturally, with having left such a respectable body of work behind, this is not all surprising. If, of course, you are yet to become sufficiently acquainted with the work of Alfred Hitchcock, the information on the Internet is a good starting point; and for those who are already Hitchcock fans, thumbing through all of this great material on the master himself will prove to be a fond reminder of why you still are a fan.
