The Bachelorette’s Trista & Ryan Hit the Skids
The Bachelorette’s Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter have become America’s favorite couple, but is there trouble in paradise?
The couple attended a reunion of 31 former cast members of ABC’s Bachelor and Bachelorette in Las Vegas on March 22. Sources say that Trista didn’t seem too happy and was seen venting to gal pal Shannon Oliver (a contestant from season one) at Baby’s, a nightclub in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Sources say Sutter approached the two women and at that point Oliver left the two "love birds" alone. Sutter tried talking to Rehn, who was ignoring him. Finally, according to the source, she turned to him and "with clear exasperation" asked "What?"
In the midst of the party, the two argued heatedly for about 20 minutes. Trista gestured wildly with her arms to emphasize her anger. The two apparently worked out their differences and partied until 4 a.m. No word on what they were actually fighting over, but this seems to be the first real "chink in their armor." They are the only couple from the three installments of the show that seem to actually have a chance at making it work. Bachelor #1 Alex Michel and his fiancée Amanda Marsh have recently called it quits (and no one really seemed to buy their relationship anyway) and Bachelor #2 Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz have since parted ways (no one but Helene seemed really surprised over that one either).
Another possible problem is that there have been reports that Ryan wants to live in Colorado and seems content living his life out of the spotlight. Sources say Trista likes the warm glow from the spotlight and wants to remain in L.A. and hopefully extend her 15 minutes of fame. Even though they seem like a perfect couple who just happened to meet on a reality TV show, no one really knows for sure how long it will really last. Who knows…they could get married and be happy as can be for the rest of their lives. But admit it, some of us want the water cooler fodder and added drama just to spice it up. Maybe if things don’t work out, Trista and Aaron could begin a relationship. And season 2’s Brooke could console Ryan. And Alex could find true happiness with Gwen and then…
