Don't Forget I Love You

A friend of mine recently lost her son from suicide. This poem is about a mother trying to talk her out of committing suicide.
Don't forget I love you.

I took care of you when you were sick.
I read you stories before bed.
I make you breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
And haven't forgot the "I love you's",
That you've ever said.

Don't forget I love you.

I watched you for two hours
After dropping you off at school.
I watched you go through all your changes.
I made you laugh
Trying to be "cool".

Don't forget I love you.

I'm here for you all the time.
I'm here if you need some one.
Just don't leave me all alone.
You're my life,
You're my sunshine,
You're my happiness,
You're my son.

Don't forget I love you.
