David Hasselhoff’s Bitter Battle

Bach filed a petition requesting a temporary restraining order against the Baywatch hunk. The petition was filed earlier this week in Los Angeles Superior Court. Bach has reportedly accused Hasselhoff of "roughing her up" at least once. Allegedly, the judge denied the restraining order based on the domestic violence charge. The court papers remain confidential since they contain "mental health" papers, but it has been reported that Hasselhoff and Bach have been ordered to stay away from one another. The couple has two children Taylor-Ann, 15, and Hayley, 13. Hasselhoff has been granted temporary custody of one of the girls and Bach has temporary custody of the other daughter.

The couple was married in 1989 and Hasselhoff filed for divorce in January citing irreconcilable differences. Bach filed her own petition a day later on January 13. The split was thought to be amicable at first, but the tension between the two has reportedly come to a head and they are gearing up for a nasty battle. Judy Katz, Hasselhoff’s publicist, slams the reported domestic abuse charge saying, "How can that be if both parents were awarded custody of their children?"

This is Hasselhoff’s second marriage, he was formerly married to Catherine Hickland from 1984-1989. Hasselhoff has faced some inner demons in the past few years. He checked himself into the Betty Ford clinic in 2002 to try and kick his dependency on alcohol. Later that year he almost died after a heavy drinking binge at a Palms Springs hotel where he had to be treated for alcohol poisoning. Hasselhoff went through another stint in rehab but was arrested for driving under the influence a mere two years later. He is currently slated to begin filming on a big screen version of his hit television show Knight Rider where he will reprise his role as Michael Knight. He is also reportedly in talks to bring Baywatch to the big screen.
