NFL: The NFL offseason report
After a wacky and definitely wild NFL season last year, it is safe to say that no one has any idea what to expect next year. However, key offseason moves are going to play a huge part in who is going to land a spot in next year's Super Bowl.

So far this offseason, we have seen some wacky and strange releases in the NFL. Starting with early releases from the Jets camp, with the letting go of Brian Cox. The Jets seem sure with what they are doing, but are they really? They are planning on moving Marvin Lewis to middle linebacker. But, Brian Cox is a money player, and important as a team player. Just look how he helped Vinny throughout the year.
Huge releases also happened at the Titans camp, where a couple of receivers (Yancy Thigpin and Carl Pickens) were released along with a talented and veteran kicker Al Del Greco. Now, I know that it is obvious that Greco didn't have his best season this year, but he is very talented. As far as the receivers go, receivers can always be replaced. Including these.
As we look into next season we can see that some teams are making valiant efforts to having there team be in the Super Bowl. Two teams have really gone out there and impressed many people, including me. One, the Seattle Seahawks. So far, they have gone out in this offseason and gotten what seems to be a great quarterback prospect in Matt Hasselback, who is being said to be a very good quarterback out of Green Bay. The Seattle Seahawks have also picked up a very talented John Randle, who was disgruntled as a Viking.
The other team is the San Diego Chargers, who are really trying to make an effort to erase their tragic one-win season from last year. It all ready basically written in blood that Michael Vick is going to be the Chargers next quarterback. However, the Chargers have also made changes in their coaching staff with their addition of Norv Turner at the Offensive Coordinator position. They also picked up Marcellus Wiley, who is an excellent pass rusher.
You definitely can see that many teams are trying to make a case to become next years Super Bowl champion. The reigning champions aren't laying back either. They are currently in the middle of picking up Elvis Grbac to solidify their QB situation.
Also, other teams have been cleaning house with the 49ers letting go of Ken Norton, Jr., and the Bills letting go of Doug Flutie. My personal opinion on this one is that the Bills aren't going to win anything with either quarterback. They either need to get Drew Brees in the draft (who I don't even know if he is the man to do it) or wait until next year's draft where there will be great quarterbacks (Drew Henson, possibly Ken Dorsey, etc.) Obviously, the Bills are out of luck, but other teams have made a huge case in trying to get to the big game.
