Bachelor Break-Up
Stick a fork in ‘em – they’re done! Another Bachelor split as Dr. Travis Stork and Sarah Stone announce they have called it quits.
By: Shannon Gossage
In a joint statement Monday, Stork and Stone reportedly blame the reality shows rules for their split. Stork was forced to keep his pick a secret after taping ended in November. Said Stork, "You’re in Paris and you’re part of this incredible experience, this fantasy world, and then suddenly you come back to Nashville, and living in the same city I think we thought was going to be a great thing. But instead, you’re forced to pretend you don’t know someone, for essentially the last four months." Stork’s decision was revealed on the February 27 finale, until then the two had to avoid one another.
Stork said, "I remember one day Sarah was running down the street, and I walked out my front door on my bike and instantly saw this person darting across the street, through traffic. I’m like, ‘That’s Sarah. Do I look, do I not? What do I do?’" Stork said he ended up riding hid bike in the opposite direction and calls it "strange to live that way." Stone claims that things may have been different if they had met under different circumstances. She said, "We wouldn’t have had all the baggage that comes from being on the show. It would just be the two of us being able to hang out and get to know each other in a normal situation."
It was recently rumored that Stone had already moved on and is dating Matt Lauerdale, the roommate and business partner of NFL Tennessee Titans footballer Drew Bennett. Lauerdale has insisted that they two are "just friends," but it has been reported that they have been spotted together on numerous occasions looking more than friendly. It has also been reported that an email allegedly sent from Stork’s brother-in-law to a friend has been leaked that claims Stork is ready to be out of the spotlight, refuses to appear on any talk shows, turned down a reported $20,000 off from the show to film a hiking outing between him and Sarah, and wishes he had kept Susan Edds and Jehan Huleisy as the final two. Oh well, things probably wouldn’t have worked out for them either!
