I won't listen

A poem about being stubborn and naive about falling in love with a boy who hurt you, and refusing to take your friend's advice.
How many times have you to tell me
That he isn't worth my heart
Before I'll actually listen properly,
And let it tear me apart?

My hands, my head, my tears,
All of them are falling down,
My eyes won't look up again,
They're glued to the dull, grey ground.

I know that he's not good for me,
I know that he has hurt me too,
I know that he isn't my type,
I know that he can make me blue,

But you know that I can't help it,
You know I can't give him the shove,
Although you won't admit to it,
You know that I'm in love...

listen to your friends!
listen to your illogical self!
