Balancing Your Mind With Meditation And Breathing

The more we speak on Meditation, the lesser it is really. It’s tough to imagine what a small act of accurate breathing can do to you!
Meditation is one form of relaxation that is getting famous by the day thanks to its stress reducing qualities and especially as it is one of the most effective of all medications used for the optimum health.

Benefits of meditation
Breathing techniques and meditation go hand in hand. Most of us and many practitioners of Yoga feel that meditation helps in balancing the mind, breathing, and balancing your overall personality. Meditating involves a disciplinary action with a number of rules in mind. But most importantly, meditation requires some amount of time from each individual, especially amongst those who feel that every moment waster equates the time with money. The first step towards meditation would mean to learn the art of breathing normally and in a uniform manner.

While one may think that inhaling and exhaling is one of the easiest ways of doing things; it is only when you focus all your energies in a silent atmosphere do you understand where you might be going wrong. The most difficult part for people is to find time for meditation. Believe it or not, what may actually feel as an unimportant task may make you change your entire schedule of the day! While you rummage through the activities along with changing situations, you are most likely to mark some time in the night for meditation.

Since most of your tasks are generally over by the time you retire, most people who truly want to make a massive change in life adhere to this time zone.

An interesting thing to note; something that most people are unaware of, is the fact that meditation is most effective if you stick to a time frame. It’s also suggested that you have either a yoga mat or a semi-woolen mat below you and be seated on it for the best effects. Sitting in a particular Padmasana pose (also known as the lotus pose) and all the rules of breathing has a specific motive in mind. By adhering to these simple rules, you can achieve the following benefits:

* One you slowly carve the time from your hectic schedules especially for Meditation. As difficult as it may seem at first, its important to note that this means that you’ll re-look over what you need to do up front. In a very small way this makes you prioritize things.

* Secondly by sticking to a time frame, as in this case is the night, you ensure that you will complete all tasks, work wise and home chores to live up to your duties, complete them and then retire.

* While you get used to the art of meditation, you get used to the quiet serene environment. This not only clams your head, it also makes you aware of the sounds that silence has…believe me it does. Although this is a bit difficult to master, it has its benefits of understanding the whisperings of nature.

* One of the most difficult tasks that gets accomplished through meditation is to focus on a particular thing. Generally in life we tend to drool a lot. Focusing on one ting becomes difficult at the given time. We tend to blame situations for our small blunders, in fact, if you keenly observe, these can be avoided through proper planning.

* Initially it’s a little uncomfortable to close you eyes and think nothing. Even more if its to concentrate on your breathing, but with time and a little practice, it gets easy. What’s more it’s also addictive. Perhaps it is the joy of being able to handle and tackle life in a much more simpler way is what meditation teaches you. You don’t need pills to remember things, and nor do you have to blame it everything on age. Simple techniques that are even simpler to follow, (especially if you are the perseverant kinds) can make you think, plan and live life to the fullest.

A kind of a catharsis, meditation believes in calming your nerves without making you feel so. You don’t need chants to calm your aching nerves, although its advisable that you chant "Om" to give you an additional benefit to the ones mentioned above.. Sound Sleep!
