Acne Alleviators

Most of us grow up with notions that are either generalizations or half-truths...Like most of us think that Acne is only caused when you are young and like many benefits of young age, cannot sprout again.
There are a number of myths that people seem to possess about Acne. Let’s analyze each one and determine what the real causes are.

Understanding Acne
Much as you would want to hunt for the real reasons, you’ll never really find out what really causes Acne. Acne are more like Women, can be seen for what they are, don’t have a definite age to show up and always has a different reason for each face to sport one. One of the few facts is that Acne can occurs at any given time in life, let alone teen age.

Let’s explore this myth. Although often thought of as the beginning of teenage, acne can affect people of almost any age. It is most often aggravated by times of hormonal change. So if you thought that the eruption of pimples or acne meant that you’re still young, well, then I must say that you are one of those who choose to remain so! This may be good to live life positively, but a myth nevertheless.

There are some who associate aphrodisiacs like chocolate to cause Acne. The real reason of the occurrence of Acne, is an Oily skin. A general play of hormones make this happen at a rapid pace. While you might perceive chocolate to be associated with pimples, it’s actually a mesh of imbalanced hormones and low iron levels that are at play. If you’d notice, the time when acne reaches an all time high is at the time your monthly cycle draws near.

Iron levels during your menses goes down drastically and with the bloating effect, irritability of moods and excessive tears, acne helps in welcoming the onslaught of your periods. So if you’re placing two and two together, then you might conclude chocolates to be the real rogues, when in fact they are not. Iron levels when they are low, play havoc in your body and make you crave for something sweet. While chocolates contain cocoa, you are like to "feel good" and voraciously splurge on chocolates.

Myths about Acne
With cocoa, chocolates also have margarine, shortening and sugar, adding to a great pack of grease in your system. And blessed you pronounce that chocolates are the rogues for the white sprouting acne on your face.

Acne is largely linked to hormone production in the body (so if you’re the kind who has a history for hormonal imbalances, God help you!). Some of the hormonal imbalances are genetic in nature and quite often it has been seen that these imbalances are ones that trigger the acne on your face. Since most hormonal activity peaks at teenage, it is often thought that only teens suffer from acne. This, however, may not be true. Acne can develop at any age. It is your body’s response to heat at most times that gives rise to its eruption. At other times, what is already happening in your body can get aggravated by what you eat, not necessarily get caused by it.

As different people have different types of skin, it’s quite possible that the accumulation of grime and pollution, along with the crappy food that you indulge in causes acne to dot your face. If you’re the types who hates being spotted and burst these, you’ll notice that the white sebum flowing out can cause it to make this permanent hole onto the layer of your skin. So you’re actually inviting acne to make a home in your face because the next time you are sure to get the acne erupting from the very place you though it might have left.

You’re likely to find white heads and black heads to make that portion as their permanent residence if you’re not care. There are some types of bacteria often found on the skin and although there are medicines available for you to get cured, it’s also important to know that your skin is genetically formed. You inherit properties of almost everything including skin from your parents. And even more importantly, although you might be endowed with great skin, the hormonal imbalances and your general diet may alter the way your skin looks and feels.

Treating Acne
Most medicated creams are water based and since there are several methods for tackling acne, treating Acne is a long and tedious process. You may be asked to drink gallons of water when you don’t want to. There is also a possibility for you to constantly cleanse your face especially if you have an oily skin. Left over shiny and oily palettes can help you get Acne. Despite the medicated creams that you may use, treating Acne with natural methods is the only way you can ensure that these do not appear again.

It’s advisable that when you have acne, you don’t share your towels with any one else. Medicated acne creams include dollops of Vitamin A and can help to an extent. Use face washes that suit your skin type, and include more of fresh fruits, especially citrus and watery fruits in your diet.

Since the heat factor is different for different people, so will be the quota of toxins that each body may contain. Your dietary factor, and your exercise levels add to this. Explaining the reason for using different towels for wiping your face and body, using your own face towel while exercise is an important point to make note of. Ever wondered why people use their own hand and body towels after a rigorous work out. The reason is quite simple. When you use another’s towel you simple transfer germs that may affect you.

Remember acne can occur anywhere, at any age. It is the first indication that something is wrong with your diet and daily routine, don’t ignore it!
