Losing Weight; and my sensibilities!

It’s a pity when you lose something valuable, it’s an even bigger pity when that someone is so dear, but when it’s weight that you seek to lose, not losing it, becomes a pity!
I started out with 95 kgs

When I first stepped on my scales, I realized that all that puppy, baby fat, call it what you want, was not all that adorable, when I rubbed my eyes over and over again to have a look at the number of kilos I had put on. 95 kilogrammes of weight while I am still a teenager (it’s another story that I am no longer in my teens!) When I looked at mom, she wasn’t all that happy, especially as I hardly looked like her in the first place and determined that she was to make me lose it (literally and figuratively!) I knew it instinctively that this is going to be a really long battle with my fat cells.

By the time I tried a variety of methods to get rid of the flab, I came to realize that losing weight was more of a mind game and not so much a question of shedding the flab. From Aerobics, to swimming, to calisthenics to you-name-it, ‘I did it’ types of exercise! It was only later that I realized that my Thyroid condition was the real rogue! And as famous personalities would place in their pearls of wisdom, so will I, although I haven’t reached my destined place on the face of this earth!

The Method

Many freaks predict the path of positive energy. Which also means that if you don’t think you will reach there and keep believing it to be true then you’ll probably never make it to the end of the tunnel. I think the best method to get rid of fat is to first choose the right season. Ordinarily, the season and environment around you largely determines your will to perform. Like if you think you can avoid eating too much during winter and exercise as well, perish the thought. Firstly, the will to exercise will be dashed the minute you even think to sleep another wink within your cozy quilt; reducing weight is far from here. Another important thing is not to weigh yourself regularly.

Contrary to the popular method of losing weight, you do not need to weigh yourself daily; you might land up not seeing any drastic difference. Check your diet instead, you can monitor that on a regular basis, add in loads of variation in your food habits. Introduce lots of fluid, and juices to avoid those specific chocolate pangs. And of, course exercise to your tune. Literally so!

If you don’t like the form of exercise, you’ll probably never make it beyond the first kilo of weight! Last but not the least, never let go of patience, as what may seem as a nightmare may actually turn you a new leaf, leaving you fit and energetic!! You never know what goes for one, may not be suited for another!!
