Rose

The rose gently falls
it falls slowly down to rest
and the petals weep tears
as it is sweetly caressed

I’m still in my own thoughts
swarming around my head
thoughts of joy and happiness
and beautiful words unsaid

I’m in complete bliss
No one here to yell
No one here to interfere
and no one has to know

I’m alone in this world
an unfamiliar place
yet I feel warmth and welcome
and I have my own space

I walk these empty roads
and see all around me
happy faces smiling down
yet no one can see

I feel no sadness here
only happiness and love
my smile shines so bright
like the rising sun above

I have no problems
no care in the world
I dance in open air
and fly like a graceful bird

Darkness fades away
into the dazzling light
beauty gleams upon me
and I know everything is alright

I set myself to sleep
at the end of this amazing day
when I discovered true happiness
and all my problems went away
