Nick Lachey's Good Life

Lachey also said in the interview that he wants to have kids. He said, "Playing with my friend's kids and having them call me Uncle Nick - that's life. That's what makes me happy, not selling a million records. I can't wait until the day I have kids." Lachey admits that "it's not the right time for me to be a father." He also said that one thing he hasn't had the opportunity to do is "be a great dad."

Lachey has slammed recent reports that he was seen getting hot and heavy with Simpson's best friend and assistant, CaCee Cobb. He has had little to say about the rumors that he is romancing former Miss Kentucky Lizzie Arnold, but the two have reportedly become quite the item. Lachey recently earned a half-million to appear in a work-out video opposite Brooke Burke. The two appear in an infomercial for celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson's new "Core Secret" DVD. He also stands to receive a hefty divorce settlement due to the fact that there neither he nor Simpson signed a pre-nup before saying "I do." Lachey said, "Don't feel sorry for me. I have a great life."

Simpson has been enjoying life these days as well. Simpson said in a recent interview, "I just feel so alive. I feel free. I feel like I can do anything and there's nobody to answer to but myself…I've finally come to the realization that it is ok to not be perfect." Since her split from Lachey, Simpson has been romantically linked to Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, Jude Law, and Johnny Knoxville. When asked about the rumored romances in the interview, Simpson deflects the question saying, "I can't save anything from being talked about. It's so cruel and I just try not to let it affect me, whatever everybody was thinking about me. If I did, I don't think I'd be here right now."
