Nicole Kidman helped her friend Naomi Watts break into Hollywood and it may just end their friendship. It has been reported that Kidman lost out on a coveted role to Watts, and the jealousy may just be too much for Kidman and Watts’ relationship to withstand. As Watts’ popularity grows, the professional rivalry between the two could be the end of their friendship.

Watts’ riveting performance as a drug addict in 21 Grams has cemented her spot in Hollywood. She reportedly won the role Kidman was vying for in I Don’t Know How She Does It. Kidman’s star has shone brightly the past few years, but after awhile it gets old seeing the same face in every new movie. Watts is new to the scene. A source says, "Naomi is the flavor of the month and she comes at a fraction of the cost of getting Nicole." Not for long. With Watts star on the rise, her asking price per movie will rise as well.

Watts is fairly new to Hollywood. Her first big break was in David Lynch’s mystery Mulholland Drive. She then starred in the thriller The Ring and Le Divorce. Since bursting on the scene she has remained a steady actress and her upcoming projects include I Heart Huckabees, The Ring 2, We Don’t Live Here Anymore, The Assassination of Richard Nixon, and of course the role "she stole" from Kidman.
