Love Hurts

Just something I wrote…about love and death…check it out.
He looks at me,
With warmth in his eyes,
He tells me he loves me,
And kisses my cheek,
I turn away,
With nothing to say,
I can’t tell him,
I don’t love him,
It would crush him within,
I have to tell him when the time is right,
I’m holding it in with all my might,
I do have feelings for him,
I truly do,
But not enough to say,
I love you too,
He’s going to hate me,
And fill with rage,
He’ll horribly beat me,
In so many ways,
And once he’s stopped beating,
Kicking and screaming,
He’ll break down and cry,
Not knowing what to say,
He’ll turn to me slowly,
And look at what he’s done,
"I’m sorry," he’ll say,
With a face full of tears,
"But your my heart, my soul, my everything,
I don’t want to lose you,
You made me upset."
As I just lie there,
In a pool of my blood,
To hurt to say anything,
To hurt to look in his eyes,
He looks at me once more,
And tells me he loves me,
He tries to hold me,
To hug and to kiss me,
But my body’s so sore,
I can’t feel it anymore,
"I’m dying," I’ll tell him,
And he’ll tell me not to speak,
"I don’t want to lose you,
Not now and forever,
I really do love you,
It’s just hard to say,
When you hurt and abuse me,
And treat me this way,
I know you don’t mean it,
And I know you do care,
But my mind is leaving,
You’ve killed me this time."
He’ll hold me close,
And hold my hand,
As I kiss him once more,
I take my last breath,
I know he loves me,
And I love him,
But love hurts,
And I’m proof of this.
