You are my hero
My dad recently died so I thought it would be nice to write a poem and get it laminated then put it in his coffin with him and if I can read it out at his funeral.
You are my hero
You will always
Be in my heart.
You are my hero
You have been
From the start.
You are my hero
And now that you
Are gone it has
Caused me pain.
You are my hero
You are the best
I will miss you not
Calling out my name
I’m shocked that
You are not here
Still calling my name
Now that you are gone
Things will never be
The same.
I will miss our walks
Down to the park
Feeding the animals
And having a laugh.
When I was in your arms
I felt special and proud
That I had a dad so marvelous
And cuddly and I will miss
Not having you there to
Run my baths all warm and
Bubbly.
Even now I can hear
You say come and
Give me a cuddle
Jadey.
I can’t wait till one day
Our spirits and our souls
Will meet again in the
After life at least my heart
Won’t be broken forever.
You are my hero
And you will always
Be in my heart.
