Tim Henman crashed out of the Nasdaq-100 Open today despite winning the first seven games against German qualifier Simon Greul.

The world No130 soon recovered his composure as Henman lost his in the Florida heat, taking the next seven games to level the match at one set apiece. Henman then let a 4-2 lead slip in the decider, Greul eventually winning the set 7-5 to clinch victory.

After beating Marat Safin and Lleyton Hewitt in previous rounds, this was a desperately disappointing performance from Henman, who will now slip further down the world rankings.

Greul, meanwhile, goes on to face either Andy Roddick or Fernando Verdasco in the next round.
