R. Kelly Feuds with Brother
Singer R. Kelly’s younger brother Carey has accused the singer of trying to get him to take the rap for child pornography charges.

Carey Kelly has reportedly released a low budget video alleging that his famous brother tried to get him to commit perjury. On the DVD, Carey claims that his brother offered him $50,000, a house, and a recording contract if he would agree to testify that it was him that appeared on the infamous sex tape that led to R. Kelly being held on child pornography charges. Carey claims he turned down the offer because he "didn’t want to lie." Said Carey on the DVD, "I got a call about a year and a half ago. My brother wanted me to do some sh*t pertaining to the case that would leave me behind bars with a record deal. It didn’t make sense, so I turned it down. Since I couldn’t lie for him in a court of law, we’re beefing again, and we ain’t brothers no more."
Several years back it was rumored that R. Kelly was going to testify that it was his brother on the tape and not him. R. Kelly’s lawyers have maintained that that rumor is not true and was never part of their defense strategy. Carey Kelly has also claimed that R. Kelly allegedly beats his wife Andrea; tried to molest their brother’s daughter; molested their twelve year old second cousin, and that he is bisexual. One of R. Kelly’s mouthpieces slammed the reports saying, "This is not the first time Carey has made ridiculous accusations against his brother. We’re not going to dignify them with a comment."
Carey says that all of his claims can be proven, but he has held a grudge against his brother for years and claims that he is owed royalties for his work on several tracks of Kelly’s 1993 album 12 Play. Not to mention that Carey Kelly was just released from prison after a stint on theft charges. Not sure which brother’s credibility is best believed. R. Kelly has pleaded innocent on all charges that have been brought against him. He is slated to return to court in Chicago on April 7.
