Habbo Hotel Expands
I guess some of you are familiar with the Hotel chain Habbo Hotel. Habbo Hotel is an online youth community run by the Finnish company Sulake Oy. Sulake has online communities or "hotels" in 18 countries and the company employ 230 people.

Sulake CEO Timo Soininen has recently said the Habbo Hotel brand will extend to include mobile games and content, TV, animation series and merchandising products. Sulake is also aiming to broaden itīs product portfolio with other kinds of game and community concepts for different target audiences. More of this here.

Habbo opened a virtual Hotel in China earlier this year.

That is why we have created a new division within OPTIC that we call "Dreamz", with the sole objective of designing an integrated enhanced virtual community platform. We are very delighted that we have sealed the partnership with Sulake and we strongly believe that it will create a new type of online community experience in China," comments Mr. Raymond Cheung, Executive President, OPTIC Dreamz.
