Allegedly Aaron and Candy Spelling were very upset by a scene in their daughter’s new comedy series So NoTORIous which pokes fun at her mother’s "eBay room." Said a pal of Tori’s, "There is a scene in the first episode of her new show, So NoTORIous, in which she makes fun of the eBay room in her parents’ house. Her mother has a huge shopping problem and has a whole room dedicated to the stuff she buys on the site. When Candy saw the episode, she threatened Tori and said she was going to sue her." According to a statement from Tori released by her publicist, "We take poetic license with everyone and every story line on the show."

Reportedly, the bad blood started when Tori kicked her hubby of 14-months, Charlie Shanian, to the curb and immediately began romancing actor Dean McDermott. McDermott left his wife and two small children for Spelling and the two became engaged mere months after she announced her separation from Shanian. Reportedly, when Tori wrote her mother a note inviting her to meet McDermott, Candy sent back a note telling Tori to remove herself from the apartment she shared with Shanian, which Candy just so happens to own. As for Tori, she said in a statement, "With regard to my apartment, Dean and I wanted to start a new life together, so leaving the apartment I had for over 10 years was the right thing to do for both of us." Wonder if they’ll just cut her out of the will!

So NoTORIous is a fictionalized version of Spelling and her life post Beverly Hills 90210. The show is reportedly inspired by real events and people in Tori’s life and follows her as she tries to "navigate her career, romance, and family." In the show, Spelling moves out of her family’s mansion and begins to rent a high-rise condo from her mother who is played by Loni Anderson. Her next door neighbor is Farrah Fawcett and her love life consists of dates often asking for a loan or leaving her their headshots and resumes. The only job offers she is getting is for made for TV movies and she is only able to reach her busy father on speakerphone. Sounds about right, huh? So NoTORIous is slated to run on VH-1 beginning in April.
