Kid Rock Blames Scott Stapp for Sex Tape Leak
Southern rocker/rapper Kid Rock places the blame on singer Scott Stapp for losing a sex tape the two made with four strippers a few years ago.

Rock, real name Robert Ritchie, said he blames Stapp for losing the tape since it was in his possession, but at the same time can see the bright side. Said Rock, "What perfect timing. I got a record coming up...Maybe I should thank him." Stapp has alleged that "someone" stole the tape from him and claims this person is out to destroy him and his career. He said in a recent interview, "Obviously someone wants to hurt me and doesn't want me to be successful on my own." Stapp refuses to name that he believes this "someone" is.
Rock laughs at that though. Said Rock, "I'm like, what are you talking about? This tape gets out - it's your tape - and you're (saying) someone's trying to sabotage your career?" The tape was made in 1999 when according to Rock; Stapp joined him and four strippers, video camera in hand and asked to "get in on the action." The video shows the two men engaged in a number of sex acts with the women. World Wide Red Light District, the company behind the release of the tape, did acknowledge that they obtained the tape from a third party, but slams Stapp's claims that it was stolen. Rock won a court order temporarily barring World Wide Red Light District from "distributing or promoting" the album.
Rock and Stapp have reportedly not spoken since the tape was made. Rock doesn't want anyone to profit from the video. He said, "If there's money to be made, it's my performance." Stapp recently tied the knot with girlfriend Jackie Nesheiwat and was arrested the following day for suspicion of public intoxication. Currently, the singer is on tour. He is not trying to sell out huge arenas as in his old days as the frontman of Creed, but reportedly he has been having trouble filling smaller venues such as the Hard Rock Live in Stapp's native Orlando, Florida.
