John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn Officially Divorced

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Harvey A. Silberman signed off on the split between Rebecca Romijn and John Stamos last Thursday, almost one year after they announced their separation after five years of marriage. Reportedly, the marriage was officially dissolved on Tuesday. The two announced that they were separating in April 2004, igniting a torrent of speculation. The two seemed to be one of Hollywood’s happier couples. Just goes to show that not everything is what it seems.

At the time their separation was announced, their rep said the split was "amicable" and that there was no third party involved in the split. Sources said that the two split because Stamos was ready to settle down and start a family while Romijn was not quite ready for motherhood. Others speculated that Stamos was jealous of Romijn's ever-growing career while his remained at a seeming standstill. No official word was ever given for the split and the two moved on with their lives.

Romijn is currently dating Crossing Jordan's Jerry O'Connell and is currently filming Man About Town, which stars Ben Affleck and features her new beau, O’Connell. Stamos, who enjoyed small screen fame in the 80’s after landing his break-through role as Blackie Parrish on General Hospital and then later as Uncle Jesse on Full House, is hoping to make a comeback to the small screen. He is currently starring in a new sitcom for ABC about a man who is struggling to find the perfect woman to settle down with calledJake in Progress, which is set to hit the airwaves on March 13.
