Who was his friend..I was. Did he have a friend?...
Did he have a friend?
When he was the life of the party
Did he have a friend?
When they drunk his wine and took his soul
Did he have a friend?
To comfort and understand him
Did he have a friend?
When the darkness and pain came
Did he have a friend?
As he reached out and called
Walking around with his head down, the crucible of his crusade
Thinking of him often as the world goes about their business
Did he have a friend?
When the world turned their back on him
Obvious to ourselves we didn’t notice his cries
He had a friend…I was his friend.
