Here's a date to set in your diaries boxing fans -- Saturday, March 6th.

On this day, Cuban Joel Cassamayor and American Diego Corrales face off for the vacant WBO-title in the super featherweight division.

The venue will be Foxwoods Casino Resort, Mashantucket, CT, USA and the bout is scheduled to go twelve rounds.

As most boxing fans are well aware these two gladiators squared off in an intriguing encounter last October, where Cassamayor was a somewhat controversial winner.

The fight was stopped with orders from the ringside doctor due to two cuts inside Corrales' mouth.

Corrales was angered by this decision, although he was knocked down many times in the fight and seemed on permanently shaky legs.

This, however, doesn't mean that this contest will be a walk in the park for Cassamayor who was also knocked down in their previous contest, although not as frequently or heavily.

This fight is the type of fight most boxing enthusiasts crave for, a fight where two of the leading fighters in the world face off, and have two different approaches to this noble sport.

Cassamayor is a slick, smooth operator inside of the ring, whilst Corrales is a banger.

Personally, after witnessing the first fight I have to tip my hat slightly towards Cassamayor, that said I fancied Corrales first time round.

I see Cassamayor skills breaking through a leaky defense and him winning via a late stoppage.
