Brittany Murphy's Erratic Behavior

Journalists were shocked when, in the middle of a press conference, Murphy lay down and put a napkin over her head. Her reasoning behind this bizarre behavior? She was tired of people looking at her. Well, that makes sense! She also kept rubbing a journalist’s hand and told her that she looked cold. The reporter finally had to force Murphy to let go of her hand because she couldn’t take notes. Murphy reportedly kept singing when asked questions, rather than answering them, forcing a television crew to forgo attempts at an interview.

A rep for Murphy claims that her behavior was due to her "natural warmness" saying, "Brittany’s just a really sweet person. You know how some people have that wall built? She’s very warm and welcoming. She’s an outgoing person. She’s not one of those people who sits there cold in a chair." Oh-kay…that makes sense. Most naturally warm people act that way during interviews. Maybe her natural warmness isn’t so natural after all…

Since Murphy, 26, burst on the scene in 1995’s Clueless, she has taken Hollywood by storm. Her ever-waning body frame has hinted at possible drug use, but that has just been speculation. In January it was announced that Murphy is engaged to talent manager Jeffrey Evan Kwatinetz. The two began dating shortly after her short-lived and very public romance with her Just Married co-star Ashton Kutcher. Murphy was also romantically linked with her 8 Mile co-star Eminem. No word yet on when her and Kwatinetz will marry.
