Formula One: Schumacher Suffers Setback

Michael Schumacher's Ferrari suffered two engines failures as he prepared for the Malaysian grand prix.
Michael Schumacher was given reason for concern in Sunday's Malaysian grand prix by the breakdown of two Ferrari engines.

His team-mate Felipe Massa's Ferrari and David Coulthard's Red Bull incurred 10-place qualifying penalties because they needed new engines before the start of free practice today.

Coulthard was particularly frustrated because his engine failed on the slowing-down lap at last Sunday's Bahrain grand prix - if he had stopped a lap earlier he would not have been penalised. "There was a drop-off in performance over the last few laps," the Scot said. "It would have been nice to know that, so I could have stopped the car prior to the chequered flag."
