You are what you eat
Life that responds to various factors that we dump it with! Food for example! What happens when you are on a diet and you just happen to look at someone eating an ice cream?
What happens when you are on a diet and you just happen to look at someone eating an ice cream? It sure makes me feel like life is not worth living! I mean here we are, in flesh and blood and thanks to our various diet regimes, only to lose a few extra pounds; we have to deprive ourselves of some of the tastiest things in this world! Of course we all need to live (make that as, we all have to necessarily live!"), a healthy life. And by that I mean that we all have to live by popular adages, like "early to bed, early to rise, a sound body is a result of a sound mind, etc."
Life that responds to various factors that we dump it with! Food for example! There have been many instances where the food we eat necessarily determines our state of mind. Lot many research freaks like me have taken to make water the first drink of the day as opposed to tea or the villainous coffee. It's a lot more healthy you see! Besides the hazardous caffeine content that acts as a slow poison, coffee is one of the potent killers clogging one artery after another, especially those that are connected to the heart. That all goes to say that if it's healthy for you, then it is definitely healthy for your heart.
Water from a Copper vessel, filled the previous night and drunk the next morning is the richest source of copper that you might come across. We've been through pills and multi vitamins painfully filling the void that ordinarily veggies do not seem to fill in. But then a little research definitely helps. Try consuming bananas for breakfast, and you'll see what I mean. It makes you feel fresh and active and ready to fight the world. Exactly what I mean. The food that you eat adds the effect of life on to you.
"Don't live to eat, eat well to live better!"
And since we are already talking about food, it's also proven that those practicing vegetarianism are prone to lead non-violent lives than their flesh-eating counterparts. The veggies make you feel light and energetic. Meat on the other hand although provides you with the much-in-demand Vitamin K does not do any good to drive away lethargy. Fish on the other hand does wonders to your skin and allows you to maintain your lean figure. It has also been proved that consuming seafood makes you lively, energetic and increases your power to use your gray cells to a large extent.
Moreover, if you are prone to the occasional coughs and colds, it's a good idea to switch to a diet comprising fish and lime. Both are excellent in battling with sinuses and keeping your immune system feeling great. Another companion to these two is ginger, with its unique warm properties that make you feel energetic and drive away the nauseatic feeling that motion sickness may accompany. But what really tops all other concoctions is Water. You can have gallons of it and yet never for once feel that it might have harmed you in any manner.
And while we're still hooked on to food, can fruits be far behind. Ideally it's a healthy practice to have the fruits of the season laden on your table. Fruits have this innate quality of allowing you not to binge and switch to chocolates or other forms of confectionery, if you stay loyal to them. Since most of them are full of the much-needed juices, it's a great idea to bite into them when you're absolutely, desperately hungry. Fresh fruits have this knack of making you "feel good" when the hunger pangs are at their worst (well so does sex! But then we're talking of food here, so we'll stick to food only!!).
While we lead hectic lives and are prone to eating anything that might get in our path of hunger, it is important to live healthy and fit. And since a large part of our time in our lives is spent in picking and choosing what's right for our body, it is equally important to note that food consumed sensibly can work wonders for your body. The bottom line is, "don't live to eat, eat well to live better!"
