Freedom
The road to Freedom might well lead us through antipathy.
Sweet enemy of mine
Let me take you on a journey
Through my mind
Let me take you to the river
Where dead dreams grow
Let me bind you with light
For I too hate this night
And hold your fingers in the net
Of the Soulfisher
Till all you ever knew and all you ever wanted
Have faded into senselessness,
Overturned and broken by the single, ineffable desire
To be free
Of yourself.
And in return all I ask of you
Is to kill me too.
Let me take you on a journey
Through my mind
Let me take you to the river
Where dead dreams grow
Let me bind you with light
For I too hate this night
And hold your fingers in the net
Of the Soulfisher
Till all you ever knew and all you ever wanted
Have faded into senselessness,
Overturned and broken by the single, ineffable desire
To be free
Of yourself.
And in return all I ask of you
Is to kill me too.
