Pam Anderson’s Alternative Treatments

Former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson has turned to "unproven life-risking treatments to beat her potentially fatal hepatitis C."
Friends and family fear for her health, but Anderson has decided to go the alternative route. She said, "I’m treating myself alternatively. [Everything] from homeopathic doctors to osteopaths to oxygen therapy." Sources say that Anderson’s "vanity could prove to be fatal in the long run." With Anderson being in the public eye, she would undoubtedly want to avoid any ill side effects that may affect her looks and/or lifestyle…but at what price? Her life?

The drug Interferon, which is standard treatment, may cause severe side effects. These side effects include hair loss, depression, and flu-like symptoms and Anderson wants to avoid this at all costs. She is trying to plan her future with Kid Rock and wants to treat herself in anyway possible that would not interfere with her demeanor or looks. This may be her downfall. Her friends and family have reportedly tried to convince her that "regular medicine" is her best bet – but she has remained steadfast because she wants to eventually have children with Kid Rock.

Anderson was married to rocker Tommy Lee of Motley Crue fame and blames him for her disease. She claims she got hepatitis C from Tommy, who got it from dirty needles. Lee refutes this claim emphatically. Lee and Anderson have two children, Brandon and Dylan, with whom they share joint custody and have only recently put their public battles behind them. Anderson and Kid are set to walk down the aisle sometime in the near future, despite recent reports of unrest between the two arising from Anderson’s reported jealousy.
