Change management

" Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself." – Tolstoy. We need it. But when it comes, we run far away. How to manage change?
Abstract

Hyderabad is a fast growing city of India. It is being called "High Tech" city for last two to three years. The world is changing fast. We live in this world. Our movement from one city to another city and one state to another state also happens. Still we feel no change in our life.

Today my friend was complaining for no growth or change in his life. Even sometime I feel because even after an excellent study of my MBA, I am not getting an excellent MNC’s opportunities. Another friend who is in MNC has same complaint. He said, " I have become just a bolt of hugh machine doing same work."

Change.

Do we really change? Even if I got a call from an another state, I start to worry about my new life. How will be new city & its people? How will be our new work? I appreciate our thinking of growth. Then why do worry about all new changes?

William James said.

" Follow three steps to change your life:
1. Start immediately,
2. Do it bright,
3. No exceptions. "

We are born with some goals, target and objectives. Nobody else will achieve for us. Only we have to do that. We are not any exceptions to do our work. If you achieve something extraordinary, only you are going to be benifited. Others may help you. Others may share also.

For any circumstance we shall be ready to change. No need to worry. Nature teaches everyone to change own life.

Change Management

It is very complex.
It is natural.
It is unique.
You need synergic efforts and planned approach.
No god. No hope. Only right efforts and right way.

Kurt Levin says : "If you want to understand something try to change. If you want to change something, try to understand."

Every change is unique & extraordinary.

"Men do change, and change comes like a little wind that ruffles the curtains at dawn, and it comes like the stealthy perfume of wildflowers hidden in the grass." - John Steinbeck

Why Change?

Cause can be anything. Change influencing factors may be economical, technological, legal, sociological, culture, financial or psychological.

What else?

No change comes with any efforts. Even after doing so many efforts, we do not get any change. Barriers are always there to stop any efforts. Most of those barriers are created by us. Few are from outside.

One side we need change. On other way it is not happening. Then what to do?

Maya Angelou : If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain.

Complaining never helps. Only one formula for any change : Do or Die.

Oh ! it is too much. But we need it.

There is one confusion. Whether seed comes first or grass?

Cause and Effects

Cause and effect are two variables in Change’s formula. Change is occured because there is a cause. Because one is looking for an effect – a result, one changes one’s life.

That means we cannot change anything, we are bound by change.

Read John Schaar :

"The future is not a result of choices among alternative paths offered by the present, but a place that is created--created first in the mind and will, created next in activity. The future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating. The paths are not to be found, but made, and the activity of making them, changes both the maker and the destination."

Start from yourself

I don’t know about other countries. But in India every literates worried about an illeterate ruler – a politician. I have seen so many movies also on same theme. Still no literate is willing to join politics to curve a good India. If you need change the world, start from ‘I".

If you really want to change your life, change your life from morning to night.

Mahatma Gandhi has remarked " You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

If you need discipline & work in your organization, start it from yourself.

" Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself." – Tolstoy

Conclusion

I am always advised to be positive. So I advise you positively

"It is never too late to become what you might have been."
