Katie Holmes Sidelined by Cruise?
Tom Cruise has reportedly strongly urged fiancée Katie Holmes to give up her career to focus on being a wife and stay-at-home-mother.

Sources say that Cruise has rumored to have also urged Homes to "avoid the spotlight" until after the baby is born. Cruise allegedly said, "I’ve got Katie tucked away, so no one will get to us until my child is born – and until I want them to." Supposedly Cruise is fearful that once the baby arrives, if Holmes wants to focus on her career it will be a repeat of his marriage to actress Nicole Kidman. Cruise reportedly said, "I said [Katie’s] life from now on was going to be about being a mother. I’m not giving her a chance to turn into another Nicole." Of course Cruise’s camp is denying the reports.
The rumors that Holmes was going to quit her Hollywood career to raise a family started way back in November. A source close to the actress said at the time, "Katie has decided to give up acting altogether. She’s been telling friends that she and Tom have decided it is best she stays at home and brings up their baby." Give up acting when she is on the brink of a film career? Cruise really picked this one right. Seems that Holmes has given up pretty much everything for the right to be Mrs. Tom Cruise. Katie, are you in there?
The train wreck that is "Tomkat" has calmed down a little since she became pregnant, but that still doesn’t change the bizarre series of events that has surrounded the couple. Out of nowhere they suddenly became a couple last April. Within two-months they were engaged, she took up Scientology, and four months later they announced their pregnancy. Whoa! Slow it down a bit…now she is going to turn her back on Hollywood? Sources say that even though Holmes is acting like a Stepford Wife, she still has her wits about her and refuses to marry Cruise until a pre-nup is signed guaranteeing that her and her baby’s financial future is secure. Good girl, Katie!
