Sheryl Crow, Lance Armstrong Split
It was recently announced that cyclist Lance Armstrong and singer Sheryl Crow have called off their upcoming nuptials.

The surprise break-up comes after two-years of dating and only five months after Armstrong popped the question. It was rumored that the couple was planning on making things official in the next couple of weeks in Austin, Texas where they have been living for most of the last two years. The couple released a joint statement through Armstrong’s publicist that read, "After much thought and consideration we have made a very tough decision to split up. We both have a deep love and respect for each other and we ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time."
Rumored troubles started dogging the couple in November. Crow said in an interview, "When we were rumored to have split, and when our publicists called these magazines to say we haven’t split, the magazines were all so disappointed because that’s really what’s selling, rooting for a couple and then they split." The couple squashed the break-up rumors again when they resurfaced in late December. In an interview for the February edition of a popular magazine, Crow told reporters that she and Armstrong would be saying, "I do" in the spring. So far there has been no official reason given as to why the couple called it quits.
Crow, 43, and Armstrong, 34, met in October 2003 at a charity event and quickly became an item. Crow said in a past interview, "I knew pretty quickly that I was totally into him." This would have been Crow’s first trek down the aisle and the second for Armstrong who divorced first wife Kristin in 2003. The couple was married for five-years and have three children together, Luke, 6, and twins Isabella and Grace, 4.
