A short thank you note to the Creator, for enlightenment on one cold night.
Thank You, Lord, for showing me the way,
Thank You, Lord, for cleansing me today.
My mind is clear and I understand,
The power, The spirit of Your Holy Hand.
Thank You, Lord, for ridding my mind of fear,
I know for sure now, You are always near.
The light is here and the dark is gone,
The Lord has awakened me, The time has come.
I knew you, Lord, from far, far away,
But I didn’t know, Lord, that you’d come to stay.
Thank You, Lord, for opening my eyes,
For letting the warmth in and melting the ice.
In my heart there will forever be,
Eternal gratefulness and awe of Thee.
