Joe Millionaire…And Happily Ever After

"Joe" Evan Marriott finally made his choice and we learned the truth behind the twist ending on the series finale of Joe Millionaire.
For those few of you who are not familiar with the premise of Joe Millionaire, here it is – one construction worker posing as the inheritor of a $50 million dollar fortune plus 20 women vying for his affections and bank account. Will "Joe" find someone to love him for him or someone that loves him for his money? Well, "Joe" thinks he found the right girl in Zora Andrich – a substitute teacher and animal lover.

On Monday night’s episode of Joe Millionaire, Evan spoke with Zora and, for those watching, it seemed as if he were about to kick her to the curb. Then, all of a sudden, he blurts out, "I’ve chosen you." She looked shocked and pleased…but then he dropped the bomb. He really doesn’t have $50 million. He gives her time to think about it and leaves to "break" Sarah’s heart. Sarah seemed shocked that he hadn’t chosen her and even asks him, after learning he did not inherit the money, if he thought that was what she was really after … um…yeah! Sarah’s "sympathetic" friend Melissa returned to "console" Sarah. They spent some time trashing Evan and his lack of money, but Sarah seemed very worried that he hadn’t picked her, at one point even inquiring if Melissa thought it had to do with the roll in the bushes she shared with Evan…among other things.

Evan waited nervously in the ballroom for Zora to arrive. She did, told him she was turned off by his keeping something from her, and even more turned off by the fact that he had $50 million big ones. She chose to "continue the journey" with Evan and he slipped her a huge promise ring. Then Paul, the butler, presented the couple with a check for $1 million. That was the surprise twist? Does the future look bright for the couple? Next week’s episode reunites them and they talk about love, money and fame.
