Nicole Richie and Ex to Reunite?

Richie and Goldstein were spotted recently allegedly sharing a romantic dinner at a restaurant in Los Angeles. The two were seen dining at Italian restaurant Il Sole and a source said, "They were seated outside on the patio and held hands across the table." Goldstein’s rep slammed the romance rekindling rumors saying, "(The dinner) doesn’t mean they’re back together. The two remain friends."

Richie, 24, and Goldstein, 32, called off their engagement in early December. No official reason was given for the broken engagement and it still is not clear as to which party wanted the split. Richie’s rep Cindy Guagenti released a statement saying, "They have decided to break off [the] engagement. The decision is mutual." A source close to Richie’s camp said that she is the one who wanted to end the relationship. Not so says a pal of Goldstein’s who claims he is the one who ended it. Richie and Goldstein announced their engagement last February after a year of dating.

Recently, it has been rumored that Richie has been keeping time with Jackass star Steve-O. The two have maintained that they are just friends, but sources say that they are definitely a couple. In other Richie news, she is reportedly looking for space in Los Angeles to open a nightclub. Her club will directly compete with Lax, ex-boyfriend and owner DJ AM’s club. A source said that Richie would frequent Goldstein’s club when they were still an item and "saw first-hand how profitable the club business can be." Said the source, "She wants a piece of the action."
