BOXING: Lewis still not the man

For all the wins Lennox Lewis has, his detractors still won't give him the title 'The Man.'

Lennox Lewis has been good for boxing, but some fans and boxing writers will never warm to him. We have to ask the question why?

Lennox Lewis born in East London England is still considered as a Canadian because he spent some eight years in Canada and fought for Canada in the Olympic Games. It begs the question that if an Englishman were to live in America for Eight years and returned to play for the English Football team and was the top goal scorer would he be considered English or American?

Also the fact that Lewis has never been rude to reporters never raped any woman, never made racist remarks. Never been caught on camera doing any thing slightly suspicious, has to make me ask the question why people still try to put a knock on Lennox Lewis.

The answer may be Tyson. A lot of people really like Mike Tyson, and in their eyes he can do no wrong short of killing one of their Family members. He is Heavy Weight Boxing and nothing else will do except Holyfield of course. Lewis if we remember beat the man that beat the man that beat the man and so should be the man, but is still not recognized as the man.

Lewis in my eyes is this man but until he beats Tyson and even when he beats Tyson will still not be the man in the eyes of those who have closed eyes.
