An American Idol romance?

Sources say that the romance between Clarkson, 20, and Guarini, 24, blossomed in July, about a month into the show. The two were pretty hot and heavy during filming of the show. When Clarkson was announced as the winner, Guarini looked genuinely pleased. If the rumors are true, maybe he was glad to see his "sweetheart" in the spotlight. Both Clarkson and Guarini’s reps deny that there is or ever was a romance between the up-and-comers.

A source with Fox confirms that the couple dated, but says they are no longer together and apparently the break-up was not amicable. The couple is currently filming a musical comedy (like Grease) tentatively titled From Justin to Kelly: The Rise of Two American Idols, which is slated for an April release. And apparently about the only thing that is hot is the Miami sun. Temperatures have cooled between the two. A source at the Roney Palace Beach Resort in Miami, where they are staying during filming, has said "they [Kelly and Justin] frequently eat at the restaurant but sit at different tables across the room from each other."

Rumor has it that Guarini has taken up with an unidentified blonde. There have been other rumors questioning his sexuality. News surrounding Clarkson is that she has visits from a "young man" from back home in Texas every weekend. It has also been revealed that Clarkson had appeared in a gay "adult" film titled Issues101 pre- American Idol featuring male nudity.
