Nick Lachey & Jessica Simpson’s Best Friend?

Reportedly, Lachey and Cobb were spotted looking very friendly last week at Los Angeles hotspot Level 3. Said one eyewitness, "Nick had his arms wrapped around her and he was kissing her all over the side of her face and neck. Her arms were around him, too. We were watching in total disbelief. We kept waiting for them to rip each other’s clothes off." Yikes…with friends like that who needs enemies…Club goers were reportedly less than pleased with the alleged display of affection. One club goes said, "There may be nothing going on between them, but it was inappropriate behavior. Everyone was like, ‘Wow, what are they thinking?’" Lachey’s publicists slammed the reports saying, Nick and CaCee are friends, that’s it."

This rumor comes on the heels of reports that Lachey was dating former Miss Kentucky and aspiring actress Lizzie Arnold. The two have allegedly been dating for about a month. They were spotted on numerous occasions looking more than friendly and reportedly showed up at a birthday celebration for That 70’s Show star Wilmer Valderrama. A source at the party said, "Nick had his arm around her all night." Lachey’s camp has remained mum on the status if Lachey’s relationship with Arnold.

As for Simpson, she reportedly is enjoying a lot of attention from the male gender, but is not acting on anything just yet. A pal of Simpson’s said, "She’s enjoying the attention, but is not ready to date." Some of the men to be rumored after Simpson are Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. It has long been rumored that they have had a romantic past, but both deny all reports and say they are just friends. Josh Lucas has reportedly expressed a romantic interest in Simpson saying he has a "crush" on her. Simpson has also been spotted partying with Jude Law. Who knows who she will end up with…looks like she may need a new best friend as well!
