Britney Spears vs. Her Dad

It has been reported that there is a serious rift between pop tart Britney Spears and her father Jamie since he started his own restaurant that sells, among other things, Britney’s favorite chili and smoothies. There are conflicting reports about who actually purchased the smoothie store JJ Chill in Venice Beach. Some sources say Britney purchased the restaurant for her father to run, but one of Britney's spokespeople insists Jamie used his own money to buy the restaurant.

The source of tension between the two is because Jamie reportedly promised his investors that Britney would be stopping by three times a week to help promote the shop. A source said, "Jamie is trading off of her name to make his yogurt smoothie shop a success." Despite the fact that Spears' rep claims everything is "fine with Britney and Jamie," it was reported that the pop tart didn't want to see her father for Thanksgiving. Another problem is that there is word that Jamie does not like Britney’s husband of choice and does not approve of him or of their marriage.

Brit supported her dad over the summer when he spent approximately six weeks in a Los Angeles clinic to fight his addiction to alcohol and painkillers. It seems like Daddy Spears is taking a chapter out of Lindsay Lohan’s father’s Book of Parenting. All he needs now are some assault arrests under his belt. Don’t they learn? Don’t bite the hand that feeds you. Trying to capitalize on your daughter’s fame doesn’t make for family harmony.
