Jessica Simpson's Buddy Blabs
Sources say that Jessica Simpson's best friend and assistant CaCee Cobb has been blabbing about Simpson and Nick Lachey's recent split.

Reportedly, Cobb has been accused of spilling all of Simpson's secrets saying that she was the one that was cheating on Lachey. A source close to Cobb said, "CaCee can't get past the fact that Jessica cheated. She feels badly for Nick and is very vocal about missing him. She saw Jessica abuse him all along. Ever since Dukes of Hazzard Jessica hasn't been good to Nick, and no one saw this more clearly than CaCee."
The source continues by saying, "CaCee knows her loyalty belongs to Jessica, but she still resents her for hurting Nick so much." Simpson's camp has slammed the rumors. Jess' rep said in a statement, "None of this is true. Saturday night was CaCee's birthday. We all had dinner and then went to the Roosevelt Hotel [in L.A.]. Jess paid for everything. Jess also bought CaCee a vintage Rolex watch. Jess and CaCee love each other. CaCee is still friends with Nick." Simpson reportedly even just bought CaCee a brand new Beemer.
Sources close to the couple fear that the split could get ugly since the couple did not have a pre-nup. It has been reported that Lachey has retained the services of noted Hollywood divorce lawyer, Laura Wasser. Wasser represented Angelina Jolie in her divorce from Billy Bob Thornton and was most recently retained by actor Johnathon Schaech. Simpson has hired Lance Spiegel and Robert Kaufman. Kaufman, in a funny little twist, represented Jennifer Aniston in her divorce from Brad Pitt.
