Juices; A miracle of Nature

Fruit and vegetable Juices come in special packages designed for toddlers’ tiny hands, and health-conscious adults swill the stuff all day long as a tasty alternative to soda. But as more and more people are discovering, fruit and vegetable juices are also believed to be a potent weapon against disease; studies show that juices can create an optimal nutritional foundation to bolster the body’s innate healing abilities.

Most of us understand the importance of fruits and not so much of the juices that form a large part, or rather should form a large part of your health. While most health-conscious people caught the juicing bug in the 1970s, juicing wasn’t born yesterday. The Juice therapy has long been a component of the 5,000-year-old tradition of Ayurveda, a traditional system of medicine that originated in India. Specific juices are meant to strengthen the weak tissue, and with juices entering your system, one could experience amazing results with conditions as varied as anemia, constipation and arthritis.

Juices are also used therapeutically by naturopathic physicians, who treat patients with some combination of natural healing methods such as homeopathy, herbs, vitamins, nutritional counseling and acupuncture. More often than not we tend to avoid the fruit juices that are laden with some form of acids and vitamins, which are otherwise hard to find amongst cooked food. The juice of a lemon can be acquired in this manner. Naturopathy uses supervised juice fasts with many patients, including those suffering from arthritis, cancer and AIDS.

The reason why liquid diets are probably so famous is also a reason to understand that like cooking involves a lot many ingredients that most solidified items need more than just water to help them get digested and disintegrated into your system for maximum effect. With water, you could break through certain food particles, but with juices you use some of the toxic effects to help you improve the digestion thereafter. Large doses of fresh vegetable and fruit protein meal, proves its worth while the body accumulates more energy to devote itself into to repairing itself."

The juice fast also helps identify food sensitivities, a major factor in immune system disorders. By gradually re-introducing foods after the fast, many people have discovered that their symptoms worsen when they eat certain foods. Many people would not ideally recognize the effect of certain food items, that they are allergic, if this juice fast does not take place. With juices, they find an improvement in their symptoms.

Removing the allergen from the diet lifts a tremendous burden from the immune system, so it can fight disease more effectively. This is perhaps one of the most important factors in pursuing this juice diet. Although many have benefited from juice fasting in the past, it might not hold true for everyone. A hidden medical condition such as diabetes or hypoglycemia can make fasting dangerous without careful medical supervision, so be sure to get a professional’s advice before starting a fast.

But for those whose active lifestyles make fasting impractical, a cleansing diet offers many of the same benefits as a juice fast. A bowl of raw fruits and vegetables supplemented by plenty of fresh juices is safe for virtually everyone. Such cleansing acts may actually make you feel cold at first as the entire system inside goes in for a major cooling down session, thereby allowing chronic degenerative conditions to be treated at a rapid pace.
