Trista & Ryan’s Wedding
The wedding of The Bachelorette lovebirds Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter is set to air on December 10 on ABC.
After Trista chose Ryan over Charlie in the season finale of The Bachelorette, ABC approached the couple and asked if they would get married on television. In exchange, the couple would have the best for their nuptials, but ABC would hold all the rights to the wedding and have the final say in everything from the dress to the flowers. The lovebirds agreed and were paid $100,000 when they signed the contract. The couple will receive $500,000 after the ceremony and the remaining balance will be paid in equal installments during production of the show. A $1 million dollar "dowry!" Not too shabby!
The three-part series started on November 26 and shows the couple making decisions for their wedding. The guest list includes some of Trista’s friends from the first show: Amy Anzel, Angelique Madrid, Shannon Oliver, and Christina Stencil. Bachelorette alums Jamie Blyth, Charlie Maher, Greg Todtman, Russ Woods, and season four’s bachelor, Bob Guiney, are all on the guest list. Those not on the guest list are the man who did not pick Trista in season one, Alex Michel, and season three’s lovebirds Andrew Firestone and Jen Scheft. No comment from Firestone’s rep on the snub, although he did say they would not be sending a gift, "If they are not invited, why would they send a gift?"
I wonder why Andrew and Jen didn’t make the final cut? Could it be because they turned down the offer to have their wedding aired on television? Maybe Trista and Ryan took that as an affront to their decision to air their nuptials for the $1 million paycheck! One has to wonder which couple is really meant to be! Hopefully, instead of being caught up in the moment and excitement of the spotlight, Trista and Ryan really have found true love in one another! Wait…where are Aaron and Helene …oh that’s right…
