A Poet's Lament
A poem about censorship...
Shall I play?
And If i play....what shall I say?
Should I try to sway
Your thoughts today?
If the letters of my written words..
the music of my instrument...
the color of my art...
offend..
Is it ok?
Will my freedom to express forever stay?
Or will Big Brother in the bush
Wipe this precious privilege away?
Shall I play?
And If i play....what shall I say?
Should I try to sway
Your thoughts today?
Shall I play?
And If i play....what shall I say?
Should I try to sway
Your thoughts today?
If the letters of my written words..
the music of my instrument...
the color of my art...
offend..
Is it ok?
Will my freedom to express forever stay?
Or will Big Brother in the bush
Wipe this precious privilege away?
Shall I play?
And If i play....what shall I say?
Should I try to sway
Your thoughts today?
Shall I play?
