Tracy Morris, the jogger turned international marathon runner, has been added to Wales' squad for the Commonwealth Games after recovering from injury.
Tracy Morris, the jogger turned international marathon runner, was last night added to Wales' squad for the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne in March after recovering from injury.
The 38-year-old proved her fitness by winning a half-marathon in Bedford this month. Morris was a recreational runner until last year when she finished 10th in the London Marathon after improving her personal best by an hour and qualified for Britain's Olympic team, finishing 29th in Athens.
Phil Banning, the Welsh athletics director for coaching, said: "Her performances in the latter stages of 2005 have demonstrated she is back to her best following her return from an injury picked up at the London half-marathon."
