Bronchitis, the unbearable syndrome

It starts with a tiny tickle deep in your chest. It turns into a painful hack that rattles your collarbone, turns your face three shades of red and leaves you gasping for air. The worst part? The coughs just keep coming.
There are several people staying in different parts of this world that suffer from chronic bronchitis, an inflammation of the bronchial tubes, the larger passages of your lungs that deliver oxygen to your body. Bronchitis can be caused by viruses, bacteria, dust, car exhaust or tobacco smoke, the list is endless!

Some types of bronchitis are short-lived, lasting maybe one to two weeks. But others linger for months. The natural remedies in this chapter—in conjunction with medical care and used with your doctor’s approval—may provide relief from the symptoms of bronchitis, according to some health professionals.

Foods and Bronchitis
Cayenne pepper can help you when you have bronchitis. Cayenne helps break up the congestion and may help you get quicker relief. And stay away from dairy products. They are mucus producing and may aggravate your condition."

Drinking chicken soup is an excellent way to break up congestion, and while we are talking about congestion, we must not forget that what may seem as a simple cough congestion, can turn into some serious Bronchitis and even Asthma. The use of Blue Sapphire if it suits you as a stone can also help you in this situation. But then the chances are fifty-fifty. This is so as Blue Sapphire is not known to suit many and it is this unique quality of the ailment that makes one a go-getter with the undying spirit of fighting it through the last minute.

Another food you should eat when you have bronchitis is garlic, which has natural antiviral and antibacterial qualities. Also, try to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, since they’re high in vitamin C, which stimulates white blood cells, so you get over the infection quicker." But most importantly if you don’t have a non-vegetarian diet, well, then please start practicing one. No amount of vegetables and other solutions can really get you on a platter that can make you deem fit. It’s only changing either the weather or your life style.

It may be difficult, but for health’s sake I don’t think it would be impossible. Boiled chicken gives you protein, calcium and fiber helping you deal with the cough. Of course we have already mentioned the effects of Chicken Soup. There may be several ways to reduce and control the effects of Bronchitis, but this can be controlled not cured. What may seem as the most effective solution may be effective enough but not to the point where you might get cured completely.

While fish helps a great deal, thanks to its high iodine content, its important to know that a combination of all of the mentioned methods are what can really help you, in case you choose a definite way out. Fish for one can help you see the end of the tunnel. The iodine in fish acts as sodium chloride mixed in water that you use for gargling, washing out traces of cough and phlegm from your system. The practice of Pranayamand Breathing exercises earliest in the morning can also gradually help reduce the severity of the situation.

Juices rich in the antioxidant nutrients beta-carotene and vitamin C strengthen the immune system. "But because sugar—even fruit sugar—has been shown to depress the immune system, its better for most of you to get your vitamins from vegetable juices rather than from fruit juices when they’re fighting infections." A combination of beet root juice, carrot and spinach juice, if consumed everyday can help you, in your endeavor. You could also add in garlic into your daily diet. Its advisable that you drink the said vegetable juice several times a day along with Vitamin C supplements with four or five carrots, two celery stalks and half of a green pepper. To shore up the immune system, drink this blend or other fresh juices several times a day! And take heart, believe me Bronchitis is nothing more than an allergy, it's just a matter of time before you get rid of it completely!
