Mike Burleson: "Mayberry Machiavellis" in the White House
The Bush name-calling continues, this time from a former senior aid. John Dilulio, previously in charge of the President's religious charity program, was quoted in Esquire magazine saying "Its the reign of the Mayberry Machiavellis!"

Dilulio was upset with the administration's domestic policy that has taken second place to the war on terror.

"The lack of even basic policy knowledge and the only casual interest in knowing more, was somewhat breath taking," Dilulio said.

Mayberry refers to the enormously popular 60's TV show pertaining to small town values and naivette. Machiavelli was a powerful political figure and writer from Italy's Renaissance period.

This new verbal attack comes after a top Canadian official resigned when she used the term "moron", to describe the US President's stand on Iraq.

Dilulio has apologized for his statement, siting "poorly chosen words and examples".
