Pamela Anderson’s Request for Sole Custody Denied

The request by Pamela Anderson for full custody of her children, Brandon, 5, and Dylan, 3, was denied Tuesday by a Los Angeles judge.
The request by ex-Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson for full custody of her children was denied Tuesday by a Los Angeles judge. Anderson entered a 15-page court filing requesting full custody of the kids and stating that ex-husband, Tommy Lee, the former drummer for Mötley Crüe, is a "very angry, unstable man who presents a danger to others, particularly when he is using alcohol, as he is presently doing." The request was denied by Superior Court Judge, Lee Smalley Edmon, who stated there is no proof that Lee is an unfit parent. According to wire reports, Edmon said, "Mr. Lee has gone for quite some time without monitored visits. I don’t see anything that leads me to believe that monitoring is necessary to protect the children."

Anderson’s lawyers requested that the children’s full time nanny be required to monitor the visits between Lee and the kids until he completes psychological testing, but the request was denied by Lee’s lawyers. Lee, who was ordered to keep the kids off of his motorcycle, felt the decision was "fair" and stated that he just wants to "be with [his] kids." Anderson stated that "the kids don’t even want to visit their daddy and they typically scream, cry and cling to me when they know they have to go (to Lee’s house)." She is also quoted as saying, "I’m just acting like any other mother. I will protect my children until my last day and my last dollar."

Anderson’s current relationship with rocker Kid Rock seems to have sparked jealousy and rage in Tommy. She states their relationship has "sparked [Lee’s] recent anger, harassment and breakdown of communication and coparenting." Lee refutes Anderson’s claim that he uses "derogatory language" about her or boyfriend, Kid Rock, "in the presence of the children or within their hearing." Lee states in court papers he has been sober for two years and that he has "never put [his] children at risk."
