The Comfort of Shoes

Most of us wear shoes for the heck of wearing them I must say. Some of us wear them to make a fashion statement, others for teaming them up with our clothes!
Understanding Style
Most of my friends wear shoes that are either very comfortable or very classy. I guess I am the in-between type! Those who wear shoes for comfort obviously don't look for the aspect of whether or not it's in vogue, they simply wear it because it feels comfortable, who care if it doesn't match with the nail paint on your fingers.

The others, I must say are rather foolish to spend either their father's hard-earned money or their husband's, whichever may the case be, only for the look on other people's faces. And shoes like these really hurt, now whether it's your heart that hurts thanks to the price tag or the shoe, is quite another story! More often than not people don't know what to wear on what particular attire. They wear boat shoes on jeans and regular lace shoes on routine office days. The point I am trying to make is that you need to wear shoes as comfortable as possible. As a lover of shoes and accessories, I think most of my knowledge of shoes comes through pure observation and a bit of research; both my husband and me have indulged in.

For example, if you're wearing jeans, you should ideally wear boots, looks best on them. And please.... Boat shoes are for the times that you are fishing out with either your kids, or your loved ones... it's as the name suggests, BOAT SHOES Then there are laced shoes that look best on formal occasions, not for everyday at the office. For regular wear, I'd suggest something that's more like a slip on variety. The only reason Slip-ons really work is because you're spending almost 8 - 10 hours in the office and you really need to be comfortable.

Furthermore, it's also seen that comfortable shoes are like comfortable lingerie, its ease of use is of absolute necessity. Party shoes, are generally the kind that help you dance while making you look elegant! To find shoes of this kind may a bit of a bother, because you need to make two criteria match up with your style. But let me tell you that it's not impossible. Another thing that's usually been noticed, since we are speaking of style is the point of color combination. Most of the people still feel that they need to match their shoes and accessories with their attire. Well until recently people still believed it to be so, but I think it makes more sense to have at least one pair of tan colored shoes, one beige colored, and one black.

Comfort and Style
More often than not, we miss out on the comfort aspect when we're looking for a color. And in case you're the impulsive buyer, who prefers a little crystal there and a bit of tassels there, or even strappy sandals, well then you need to think again before you spend that hard-earned money of yours. Tan is one color that goes with most dresses, casual and formal.

But then you also need to bear in mind that formal occasions demand closed shoes, irrespective of the color. You cannot possibly wear an open shoe with your toes gaping from the outside on a formal two piece suit. The same would also hold good for females who have completely immersed themselves into corporate dressing. Preferably a good platform heel could help you see through your corporate presentation, as being leveled, all your strenuous hours of standing while you use your pointer and explain statistics to your clients would make them feel that you definitely have an unprecedented energy of sorts. Black of course goes with all events. Be careful to have a look at the inner soles of your shoes.

They need to be laced with velvet linings for added comfort. Inner soles do help and so do peds to allow you to be protected from shoe bites, but perhaps they might not be the answer for sensitive foot skin. The guys can go for military pumps or anklets below their corporate pants. This would be most beneficial as when you're into a heated argument or want to just move around as swiftly as possible during the presentation, you are sure that you won't twist your ankle thanks to the already built up anxiety.

Most people prefer buck leather or Swede, because they are the easiest to maintain, without the bother of scrubbing that extra polish while getting ready. Also most presentation dinner or client visit have you moping around for a long period of time, so it's a good idea to carry a pair of flat and soft loafers with you which you can change into after the ordeal is over. You'll be glad that you survived through the day.

Most people change into their sneakers in the evening. Perhaps to get that enthusiastic feeling of running back home! If you think so too, it's better that you don't, as you might sprain yourself in all that zeal.

One last thing since we are talking about shoes, always keep an extra pair in your car, because all the trials that you might have gone through the day may not allow you to drive straight with the frills attached to the shoe that you might just get caught for speeding at an accelerated pace!
