Kutcher Kisses Punk’d Goodbye
Ashton Kutcher announced Friday that he was saying goodbye to his hit show Punk’d, after only two seasons.
Kutcher and co-producer Jason Goldberg of Katalyst Prods announced that they were discontinuing their hit show Punk’d, stating that they wanted the show to go out on top. Are we getting "punk’d?" Who knows…but Kutcher’s publicist, Matt Labov, says the announcement was "for real" and not a "Punk’d episode." The final episode, and second-season finale, featuring Beyonce Knowles, aired Sunday night. Kutcher said in a statement, "We had an incredible time doing the show and have decided to stick with the old adage of ‘leave ‘em wanting more.’"

MTV spokeswoman Vanessa Reyes said about the show ending, "This is a surprise to us." The young and beautiful in Hollywood can breathe a sigh of relief now that Kutcher and crew aren’t on the prowl any longer. MTV must feel as if they were "punk’d." A rep for the network said they were stunned by the decision. No word yet on whether or not Kutcher and crew are backing out of a commitment or if MTV would try and continue the show sans Kutcher. Whatever the case, both sides have said they will continue to work together on future projects.
Kutcher, Hollywood’s latest "It" boy, has been all over the place lately. He recently signed on with That 70’s Show through the 2004-05 season, as well as possibly inking a deal to appear on the big screen in the flick A Lot Like Love. No matter how you look at it, Ashton’s got it going on. His star is shining brightly, he is dating Demi Moore and the public can’t get enough of him! He better enjoy the run while he can…
