NFL: Time for a change in Terrible Towel Land

With the NFL season winding down the Pittsburgh Steelers are finding themselves with a major question and that is weather or not to resign Kordell Stewart as their quarterback of the future or go in a different direction.

I say that the Steelers should go in a different direction cause Kordell isn’t going to lead the Steelers to a Super Bowl run. Kordell has not done anything spectacular to help his team to win this season since taking over for Kent Graham just a few weeks into the season. He has yet to pass for over 200 yards in a game this year. How many teams make the playoffs with out their quarterback passing for 200 yards in a game all year? A quarterback should be trying to break the 300-yard barrier instead of the 200-yard barrier,

So what should the Steelers do as far as QB for the 2001 season well they should sign a journeyman QB in free agent period and with their first pick in draft take a QB Wienke, Brees or Huepal. And start building for the future. And say to Kordell that if he wants to stay in in the Bugh then he has to go back to the Slash mood.

Don’t get me wrong Kordell is an exciting player to watch but he isn’t a starting QB in the NFL. Defenses have figured him out.
