George Michael Blasts Elton John

Michael wrote an open letter to a British rag accusing John of spreading "unsubstantiated gossip picked up on the gay grapevine." John reportedly said, "There seems to be a deep-rooted unhappiness in his life and it shows on the (latest) album. All I would say to George is: you should get out more." Michael wrote in his letter that he had "rarely been as happy and confident as I am today, thanks to my partner Kenny (Goss) and the continued support of my fans."

Michael went on to say that John knows very little about his life and that the two have rarely spoken in the past ten years. Michael also added, "And to this day, most of what Elton thinks he knows about my life is pretty much limited to the gossip he hears on what you would call the ‘gay grapevine’ which, as you can imagine, is lovely stuff indeed. Other than that, he knows that I don’t like to tour, that I smoke too much pot, and that my albums still have a habit of going to number one." Michael’s latest album Patience has recently topped the British charts.

What is up with Sir Elton? Recently he has been making inappropriate comments about many of his contemporaries. In October he accused supposed "friend" Madonna of lip- syncing during her "Re-Invention Tour." Just recently he said Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham was the reason for all the marital problems between her and soccer star hubby David Beckham. It seems Elton is a bit cranky and should maybe just keep his comments to himself.
